Leadership & Experience

Mr. Khan has served as a hands-on project leader for numerous major retrofit and rehabilitation programs involving STS container cranes across U.S. ports. His leadership extends from conceptual design and field engineering through execution, commissioning, and turnover. He has successfully directed multidisciplinary teams of electricians, mechanical specialists, and structural welders in 24/7 operational environments, consistently achieving exceptional uptime and safety performance metrics.

Electrical & Power System Expertise

  • Retrofit and upgrade of high-voltage systems and cable trench installations.
  • Fabrication and installation of turnover anchors for Hypower cable connections and trench vault designs.
  • Cable routing, insulation, and system testing to ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and port-authority standards.
  • Implementation of robust grounding and lightning-protection systems for STS crane infrastructure.

 
Mechanical & Structural Accomplishments

  • Installation and alignment of Gantrex rail systems, including pad, clip, and soleplate assemblies.

Mechanical Drive & Hoisting Systems

Mr. Khan is factory-accredited by Falk SGI Brazil for maintenance and overhaul of hoist gearboxes. He has supervised hoist drum coupling replacements, bearing inspections, and gearbox alignments on multiple generations of STS cranes, combining OEM-grade mechanical practices with advanced diagnostic analysis.
